| Bumblebees Lose, 6-3, at The Firepit | The Joplin Fireballs defeated the Pasadena Bumblebees, 6-3, in TMLAAA action at The Firepit, with Joplin pitcher Dave McCrudden named player of the game. Jason Graves got the save, his 16th in 17 chances. The Fireballs' win now puts them at 42-49.
Jamie Thompson, who is tied for 7th in the TAAA in home runs with 15, aided the Joplin cause with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the third. For the game, the left fielder was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Thompson.
