The Silver Lake Baristas got a stellar effort from pitcher Cesar Garcia, helping Silver Lake score a 4-2 win over the visiting Birmingham Bears. Rickey Turner notched his 14th save in 15 chances. The Baristas bumped their record to 50-37 with this latest triumph.

The Baristas got a big at-bat from second baseman Hilario Martínez. For the game, Martínez went 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk. In the bottom of the seventh, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 92nd hit of the season gave Silver Lake a 2-1 lead.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Martínez said after the game.
