| Grays Come Up Short at Eureka | The Eureka Hornets scored a 1-0 win versus the Georgia Grays at The Nest. Eureka pitcher Alexis Zepeda nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Eureka, now 1-2, is off to a slow start.
The Hornets got a big at-bat from third baseman Roberto Santiso. For the game, Santiso went 1 for 4. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 3rd hit of the season gave Eureka a 1-0 lead.
"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Zepeda.
