| Argonauts Score Late, Stun Coal Miners, 7-6 | The rain could not keep the Golden Fleece Park crowd from enjoying a good ballgame.
Antioch got a terrific game from left fielder Ryan Ryan. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Astoria, 7-6. Ryan was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He was 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Reliever Bryan Lynch picked up the win. His record improves to 3-5. Sung-your Park took the loss.
Todd Poliskin had the critical at-bat for Astoria. With no one out in the bottom of the ninth inning, he hit a walk-off 2-run single. It gave Astoria the 7-6 walk-off win.
"This place was rocking at the end," Poliskin said.
Astoria is now 32-55, while Antioch is 53-35.
