Bears Get Past Fairfield for 6-5 Win

Birmingham first baseman Victor Manzo was instrumental in his team's 6-5 win over the Fairfield Flash. Manzo went 4-4 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Bears. Fairfield's current losing streak has reached 4 games.

Manzo had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the ninth. On a first pitch fastball from Miguel Torres, he banged a solo home run to center, giving the Bears a 6-5 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for Manzo.

"We fed off the energy of the crowd at the end," Manzo said.
