| Rockets Come Back Late, Nip Racers | The Reno Rockets defeated the Bowling Green Racers, 3-2, in RCL AAA action at Red Rocket Field, with Reno pitcher Lourenço Russa named player of the game. Reno reliever John Ketchum picked up the win, upping his record to 3-3. Atsuya Suda took the loss. Bowling Green's current losing streak is now 7 games.
The Rockets were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when pinch hitter Kobbe van de Pol turned a 0-1 sinker from Atsuya Suda into a 2-run home run. The walk-off home run sent a roar through the crowd and gave Reno a thrilling 3-2 win.
Russa said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
