| Cats Bang Out 6-2 Win Versus Albuquerque | The Cats had to overcome a good performance from Albuquerque pitcher Tomohito Ihara to claim a 6-2 win at Albuquerque Sports Stadium. Ihara went 6.1 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Fort Worth reliever Tony Reed picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Guo-xiu Du took the loss. The Cats bumped their record to 54-32 with this latest triumph.
Had Rob Koller not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Koller hit a 2-run double. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Cats.
"I believe in our guys," said Fort Worth skipper Jon Hughes. "I like the energy they're playing with."
