| Canadians Win 8-7 Walk-Off | Behind a solid performance from right fielder Pat Waxman, the Vancouver Canadians defeated the Albuquerque Cacti, 8-7. Waxman went 4 for 5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Canadians. Vancouver reliever Cai-fei Men was the winner. His record is now 5-5. Hiroshi Nagasawa took the loss. Vancouver is 5th in the RCL AAA Bobby Cox Division with a record of 37-46.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Vancouver third baseman Ed Mathias, facing Hiroshi Nagasawa, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Canadians the 8-7 win.
"Good win for us, tough loss for them," said Mathias.
