Fairfield got a terrific game from second baseman Felipe Landavazo. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Silver Lake, 5-3. Landavazo was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He went 2 for 5 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The Baristas bumped their record to 45-36 with this latest triumph.

Vernon Prest, who is tied for 9th in the RAAA with a .291 batting average, aided the Silver Lake cause with a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth. For the game, the third baseman went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

Prest called the win "a collective effort."
