| Bombers Come Back Late to Top Mustangs | In a low-scoring clash between Bronx and Billings, pitcher Tim Oliver was a difference-maker. The right-hander earned player of the game honors for Bronx in the 3-2 win. Bronx reliever Tom Madson picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Juan Centeno was saddled with the loss. Bronx has run its win streak to 4 in a row.
Had Kiyonori Ogura not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Ogura hit a run-scoring double. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Bombers.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Bronx manager Glen Slaughter said.
