Sphinx Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Racers
Spirited fans at Top of the Hill greeted the Bowling Green Racers for their clash with the Cairo Sphinx.

The Sphinx grabbed a win, 4-0, at Top of the Hill, overcoming a fine effort from Bowling Green pitcher Jason Keeping. Keeping went 6.1 innings and allowed no earned runs. The Sphinx bumped their record to 48-37 with this latest triumph.

The Sphinx got a big at-bat from right fielder Noam Foucher. For the game, Foucher went 1 for 5 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the top of the eighth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Cairo a 3-0 lead.

"I still think this team has room for improvement," Foucher told the Cairo Gazette.
