| Caterpillars Can't Finish, Lose 2-1 | Peoria got a terrific performance from pitcher Bob Reel, but it wasn't enough to beat the Antioch Coal Miners. Antioch won the Excavatar Park contest, 2-1. Reel was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 5 innings allowing 1 run. Antioch has now won 3 in a row.
George Greening made it 2-1, Antioch, in the top of the 12th when he got hit by a pitch, driving in 1 run. It was a big at-bat in the Coal Miners win.
