| Freeze Walk Off with 5-4 Win | The Minneapolis Freeze beat the Candiac Redbirds, 5-4, at The Ice Box. The win was largely due to the efforts of catcher Reece Wager, who captured player of the game honors. He went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The Redbirds, now 31-50, have lost 4 in a row.
Cecil Dell was the walk-off hero for Minneapolis. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Freeze second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"This place went bonkers at the end," Wager said.
