| Baristas Lose, 6-4, at Bronx Ballpark | Behind the bravura of first baseman Sam Ibarra, the Bronx Bombers topped the Silver Lake Baristas by the score of 6-4. Ibarra went 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Bombers. Tony Aaron, credited with the win, is now 2-4. He allowed 4 runs on 9 hits in 5 innings. The Bombers bumped their record to 46-33 with this latest triumph.
Ibarra contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Bronx in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 3-2, Ibarra took a fastball from Jose Caceres and stroked the home run to left. His 7th home run of the season allowed the Bombers to leap in front, 5-3.
