Victory Pushes Cats Record to 50-32

The Fort Worth Cats powered past the Billings Mustangs, 8-7, at Cobb Field. Jeremy Bassett went 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks, to lead the charge. Fort Worth reliever David Dillon picked up the win, bumping his record to 4-0. Ashley Heath was collared with the loss. Fort Worth leads the RCL AAA Bobby Cox Division by 6½ games.

In the top of the sixth inning, second baseman Troy Tisdale came through big-time for the Cats. With Fort Worth leading 5-3, he belted a 3-run home run.

"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Bassett.
