| Canadians Lose, 6-5, at The Ice Box | The Minneapolis Freeze stopped the Vancouver Canadians, 6-5, behind an impressive performance from Jason Leahy. The 25-year old first baseman made life miserable for Vancouver pitching. He was 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Minneapolis reliever Dave Milar picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Tommy Brereton shouldered the loss. Troy King, credited with the save, is now 2 for 3 in save opportunities.
Logan Moran chipped in for Minneapolis with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the right fielder had 3 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 2 singles, 2 runs scored, and 2 RBI.
In postgame comments to the Minneapolis Observer, Moran said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
The 5th-place Freeze improved to 35-46.
