Aeropostales Fall Short at Detroit

The Detroit Death Stars powered past the Indian Wells Aeropostales, 10-9, at The Death Star. Tomas Robles hit 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice, to lead the charge. Detroit reliever Ben Bower picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Shumei Bailey shouldered the loss. Detroit leads the TMLAAA Joe Torre Division by 9½ games.

Robles had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the tenth. On a 1-2 curveball from Shumei Bailey, he banged a solo home run to right-center, giving the Death Stars a 10-9 lead. It was the 13th home run of the year for Robles.

Robles said afterward that he was "glad the fans were treated to a good ballgame."
