| Bumblebees Score Late to Upend Paczkis, 4-3 | The Pasadena Bumblebees took Canton pitcher Jackson Knickle's best shot and still were able to claim a win at The Hole. The final score had Pasadena getting past the Paczkis, 4-3. Knickle went 7 innings and allowed 2 earned runs, striking out 5. Pasadena reliever Waldo Perron picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. John Knight shouldered the loss. The second-place Bumblebees improved to 38-42.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Pasadena right fielder Mike Burd, facing John Knight, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Bumblebees the 4-3 win.
In postgame comments to the Pasadena Herald, Burd said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
