| Canadians Lose, 10-4, at The Ice Box | It was a good time at The Ice Box, where fans came to watch the Vancouver Canadians and Minneapolis Freeze get after it.
Minneapolis Freeze starter Jose Montalvo pitched a strong game against the Vancouver Canadians at The Ice Box, leading the Freeze to a 10-4 win. Montalvo went the distance for Minneapolis. He gave up 4 earned runs on 4 hits.
Jesus Chavez was 3 for 5 with a triple, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Minneapolis. The 26-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring walk off Thomas Kearton. It was his 5th walk of the season.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Montalvo told the Minneapolis Observer.
The 5th-place Freeze now have a win-loss record of 34-46.
