Fireballs Win, Brewbaker has 3 hit night
A 3-RBI performance from shortstop Ervin Brewbaker, who is rated as the 3rd best prospect by BNN, led the Joplin Fireballs to a 4-1 win over the Albuquerque Cacti. Dave McCrudden, who went 8 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 1 run on 4 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 2. His record now stands at 8-7. Jason Graves, credited with the save, is now 11 for 12 in save opportunities.

Brewbaker contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Joplin in the bottom of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Brewbaker took a curveball from Blake Orlando and stroked the home run to right-center. His 3rd home run of the season allowed the Fireballs to leap in front, 3-1.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Brewbaker told a Joplin News reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."

Joplin is 4th in the TMLAAA Joe Torre Division with a record of 33-44.
