The final score had Silver Lake getting past the Bombers, 4-3. van de Wetering went 8 innings and allowed 2 earned runs, striking out 5. The win was credited to Kenny Moran in relief. His record improves to 4-2. Zong-yuan Sang took the loss. The first-place Baristas have a one-game lead in their division.
Late-game drama came in the top of the tenth inning. With one out and a runner on 1st, the batter, Marcos Serrano, hit a double. It helped Silver Lake seize the win.
"It makes it a little nicer in the clubhouse when we win," said Serrano. "It eases the tension."
