Aeropostales Take Nail-Biter Over Bombers

The Indian Wells Aeropostales topped the Bronx Bombers by the score of 9-8, with the largest share of the credit going to left fielder Brian Martin. Martin went 2 for 4 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs for the Aeropostales. The Aeropostales bumped their record to 40-39 with this latest triumph.

Martin had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the tenth. On a 2-1 slider from Jeremy Carr, he banged a solo home run to right-center, giving the Aeropostales a 9-8 lead. It was the 9th home run of the year for Martin.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Martin. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
