| Redbirds Turn Back Cairo, 3-2 | Candiac Redbirds starter Juan Disla turned in a top-notch performance against the Cairo Sphinx at Pharaoh's Temple. The result was a win for the Redbirds, 3-2. Candiac, now 31-46, holds last place in the Darryl Kile League Joe Torre Division.
Hiromi Nagao aided the Candiac cause with a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth. For the game, the left fielder went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Disla.
