A nice crowd turned out to see the Detroit Death Stars and Fairfield Flash clash at Durham Bulls Athletic Park.

The Detroit Death Stars topped the Fairfield Flash by the score of 8-4, with the largest share of the credit going to second baseman Marcos Tovar. Tovar was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Death Stars. The win boosts the Death Stars to 46-30. The loss puts the Flash at 43-33.

Tovar contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Detroit in the top of the fourth. With his team trailing 4-3, Tovar took a fastball from Graham Bennett and stroked the home run to left. His 4th home run of the season allowed the Death Stars to leap in front, 5-4.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Tovar.
