| Phantoms Bridle Caterpillars, 4-3 | Coronado pitcher Jason Klein did his part in helping his team beat the Peoria Caterpillars, 4-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Chris Elwell notched his 3rd save in 4 chances. The Phantoms improved to 30-48.
The Phantoms got a big at-bat from third baseman Danny Soto. For the game, Soto was 1 for 3. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 36th hit of the season gave Coronado a 4-3 lead.
"Jason is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Coronado manager Sean Davidson.
