| Cats Clip Coal Miners, 5-4 | Cats right fielder T.J. Oster put his stamp on his team's 5-4 win over the Antioch Coal Miners. Oster was 2-3 with a triple and a walk, while scoring 2 runs for Fort Worth in the contest. Sam Thomas notched his 2nd save in 2 chances. Fort Worth is now 49-29, 8½ games up in the Nick Adenhart League Bobby Cox Division.
Glenn Sternlicht had a big 2-run double for the Cats in the bottom of the second inning. With Fort Worth trailing 3-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a sinker from Cesar Prado and stroked the double to left-center. It was his 18th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Cats ahead, 3-2.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Fort Worth manager Jon Hughes.
