| Flash Nip Canadians, 5-4 | Vancouver catcher Tom Monacelli was sensational. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Fairfield beat the Canadians, 5-4. Monacelli was named the player of the game despite the loss. Vancouver has now lost 5 straight.
Dave Evans aided the Fairfield cause with a bases-clearing triple in the top of the third. For the game, the shortstop went 2 for 4 with a triple, while adding 4 RBI.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Evans told the Fairfield Herald.
