The Bronx Bombers relied on the hitting of center fielder Alejandro Nolasco to stop the Detroit Death Stars, 12-1. For the game, Nolasco went 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. The Bombers bumped their record to 40-30 with this latest triumph.

Nolasco had a key at-bat for Bronx early in the game. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and gave Bronx an early 2-0 lead.
