Jameson Hits 2 home runs in Death Stars Win

The Detroit Death Stars beat the Bronx Bombers, 8-6, at Bronx Ballpark. Detroit center fielder Jim Jameson earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He was 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Jesús Rivera got the win, improving to 6-1. He pitched 7.1 innings, giving up 6 hits and 5 runs, while striking out 6 and walking 1. The winning streak has now reached 5 games for the Death Stars.

With Detroit leading 2-0 in the top of the second, Jameson hit a fastball from Sal Delgadillo for a 3-run home run. It was his 12th home run of the season and put the Death Stars ahead, 5-0.
