| Canadians Win at Bowling Green, 3-1 | The Bowling Green Racers went down to defeat to Rogelio Pino and his Vancouver teammates. The final score was 3-1 in favor of the Canadians. Steve Higgins earned save number 8. The Canadians are now 33-36, while the Racers fall to 36-32.
Vancouver used the timely hitting of Hugo Rodriguez to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put the Canadians on top, 1-0. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Rodriguez said after the game.
