| Victory Pushes Death Stars Record to 42-25 | Detroit Death Stars starter Ramón Gómez was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Astoria Argonauts, 4-1. Ben Bower was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 14 of 16 save opportunities. The Death Stars have an impressive 42-25 record.
The Death Stars got a big at-bat from second baseman Sean Hayward. For the game, Hayward went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Detroit a 2-0 lead.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Gómez told reporters after the game.
