Coal Miners Bang Out 11-6 Win Versus Pasadena

The Antioch Coal Miners beat the Pasadena Bumblebees, 11-6, at The Coal Mine. The Coal Miners got a fine performance from third baseman Adrián Ferreira, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. The Coal Miners bumped their record to 40-28 with this latest triumph.

One the game's most dramatic moments benefited Antioch. In the top of the fifth, Bartley Alroy took a first pitch fastball and hit a 2-run double, putting Pasadena up, 8-2. The lead, though, would not hold up.
