| Racers Prevail, 5-4, Over Indian Wells | The Bowling Green Racers beat the Indian Wells Aeropostales, 5-4, at Stars Field. The Racers got a fine performance from designated hitter George Brett Jr., who captured player of the game honors. He was 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Cruz Miguel, the winner, improved to 1-1. He held Indian Wells to 3 earned runs on 6 hits over 5.1 innings, while racking up 8 strikeouts. The Racers bumped their record to 35-31 with this latest triumph.
Brett Jr. had a key at-bat for Bowling Green early in the game. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and gave Bowling Green an early 2-0 lead.
