| Redbirds Fall Short at Calgary | Foothills Stadium was rocking after an exciting Kodiaks win today.
Calgary starter Travis Panhorst had a strong outing against the Candiac Redbirds at Foothills Stadium. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 3-2 win. This win makes it 6 in a row for Calgary.
The Kodiaks were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when center fielder Bobby Quinonez turned a 2-2 curveball from Hulusi Mumcu into a 2-run home run. The walk-off home run sent a roar through the crowd and gave Calgary a thrilling 3-2 win.
"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Calgary manager José Díaz.
