Bombers Solve Freeze, 5-2

The Bombers grabbed a win, 5-2, at Bronx Ballpark, overcoming a fine effort from Minneapolis pitcher Alex Munoz. Munoz went 5 innings and allowed no earned runs. The Bombers bumped their record to 38-27 with this latest triumph.

In the bottom of the 6th, designated hitter Zhao-ying Gai gave Bronx the lead when he hit a 3-run home run. The Bombers had been trailing 2-0, but the two-out home run off Minneapolis pitcher David Stafford changed that -- and Bronx went on to win.

Gai attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
