Lynn Excels, But Kodiaks Win

It was a good time at Foothills Stadium, where fans came to watch the Bronx Bombers and Calgary Kodiaks get after it.

Bronx left fielder Dylan Lynn was sensational. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Calgary beat the Bombers, 10-9. Lynn was named the player of the game despite the loss. Derrek Bathauer earned the win to go to 1-0. He allowed 4 earned runs on 7 hits, with no walks and 4 strikeouts. Jose Artola, credited with the save, is now 4 for 5 in save opportunities.

Dave Sorensen aided the Calgary cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the shortstop went 1-3 with a walk.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Sorensen.

The Kodiaks bumped their record to 33-30 with this latest triumph.
