| Rockets Subdue Silver Lake, 2-1 | Reno got a first-rate effort from pitcher John Ketchum, who frustrated Silver Lake hitters en route to a 2-1 Rockets triumph at Ashton Gate. Ketchum picked up the win for Reno, going 7 innings. He gave up 1 run on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 1-1. Thomas Wright converted his 12th save in 14 tries.
The Rockets got a big at-bat from left fielder Greg Holder. For the game, Holder went 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the seventh, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Reno a 2-0 lead.
