The first-place Fort Worth Cats welcomed Vancouver to LaGrave Field.

The Fort Worth Cats defeated the Vancouver Canadians, 6-3, at LaGrave Field today. Leading the charge for Fort Worth was right fielder Tim Sorrells. He was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Bob Campos, credited with the save, is now 6 for 7 in save opportunities.

Sorrells had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the third inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Cats went on to win.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Sorrells. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."

Fort Worth leads the Nick Adenhart League Bobby Cox Division by 6½ games.
