| Bumblebees Stymie Joplin, Take 3-0 Win | The Pasadena Bumblebees picked up a win at The Hole, knocking off the Joplin Fireballs, 3-0. Starting pitcher Gilberto Vega, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Vega got the win, improving to 4-6. He allowed 3 hits and walked 4 over 8 innings. Vega allowed no earned runs. Pasadena is now 28-32, Joplin 24-36.
Alberto Murillo, who is tied for 6th in the DKL in doubles with 14, aided the Pasadena cause with a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the shortstop went 2-4 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 times.
"We didn't score," said losing manager Nobuharu Chikafuji. "That was the problem."
