Las Vegas got an elite performance from starting pitcher Salah bin Atif in taking a 3-1 decision over the Portland Beavers. Las Vegas reliever Mike Salter was credited with the win, to go to 1-2. Yoshiaki Kojima took the loss for Portland. Losses have been few and far between for the Beavers, who are now 16-7.

Joe Taylor's at-bat in the bottom of the sixth inning was a big one for Las Vegas. Coming to bat with two out, a runner on 3rd and Las Vegas trailing 1-0, the left fielder reached on an error by the right fielder, driving in 1 run.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," bin Atif told the Las Vegas Daily News.
