Late Rally by Aeropostales Secures Win

The Aeropostales had to overcome a fine effort from Albuquerque pitcher Victor Parga to grab a narrow 2-1 win at Albuquerque Sports Stadium. Parga went 7.1 innings and allowed no earned runs. The win was credited to Hal Walshe in relief. His record improves to 4-1. Hiroshi Nagasawa took the loss. The 4th-place Aeropostales have won 4 in a row.

Chikao Yanagawa made it 2-1, Indian Wells, in the top of the ninth when he reached on an error by the left fielder, driving in 1 run. It was a big at-bat in the Aeropostales win.

Yanagawa told a Indian Wells Bulletin reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
