| Multi-HR Game for Cook in 6-4 Win | Astoria and Antioch duked it out at The Coal Mine and the Argonauts came out victorious.
The Astoria Argonauts topped the Antioch Coal Miners by the score of 6-4, with the biggest share of the credit going to first baseman Tyler Cook. Cook went 2-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice for the Argonauts on the day. The win was credited to Eric Martindale in relief. His record improves to 3-4. Cody Clayton took the loss. Dave Hamm converted his 1st save in 1 tries.
Cook had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 2-0 cutter from Cody Clayton, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Argonauts a 6-3 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Cook.
"The beers will taste better tonight after this win," said the ever-candid Cook.
Even with the win, the Argonauts have a dismal 20-39 record.
