| Death Stars Bang Out 7-2 Win Versus Reno | A nice crowd turned out to see the Detroit Death Stars and Reno Raiders clash at House of Pain.
Detroit Death Stars starter Ramón Gómez was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Reno Raiders, 7-2. Gómez, now 4-3, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 6, walking 1, and allowing 2 earned runs. Alex Jasso converted his 2nd save in 3 tries.
Sean Hayward hit a 2-run triple off Yuki Kokawa in the top of the seventh, which put the Death Stars in front, 4-2. Hayward had 3 walks, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 2.
"I thought we played a nice game," Gómez told the Detroit Daily News. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
The Death Stars bumped their record to 34-22 with this latest triumph.
