Fireballs Bang Out 6-1 Win Versus Minneapolis

Joplin center fielder Kyung-hwan Jun was a significant contributor in his team's 6-1 triumph over the Minneapolis Freeze. He was 2-3 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for Joplin. Today's win puts Joplin at 23-34, while Minneapolis falls to 24-34.

Jun contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Joplin in the bottom of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Jun took a curveball from Rich Virola and stroked the home run to right. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Fireballs to leap in front, 2-1.

"I thought we played a nice game," Jun told the Joplin News. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
