| 5 Straight Wins for Cacti | The Cacti faced a stiff challenge from Fort Worth pitcher Jim Currie, but persevered to claim a win at LaGrave Field. The final score was 3-1. Currie went 5 innings and allowed no earned runs. Albuquerque reliever Mario Deleón was credited with the win, to go to 4-0. Jeff Van Wormer took the loss for Fort Worth. Lee Krause converted his 1st save in 3 tries.
The Cacti got a big at-bat from catcher Ryan LeMaster. For the game, LeMaster was 1-4. In the top of the seventh, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 18th hit of the season gave Albuquerque a 2-1 lead.
