Peoria turned a good effort from starter Tony Rivera into a win over the Calgary Kodiaks at Excavatar Park. The final score was 3-2. Dennis Winkowski converted his 2nd save in 3 tries. With the win, the Caterpillars improved to 27-30.

The Caterpillars got a big at-bat from third baseman Victor Cedillo. For the game, Cedillo was 2-4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 4th hit of the season gave Peoria a 2-1 lead.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Cedillo told the Peoria Herald.
