Bombers Turn Back Antioch, 2-1

The Bronx Bombers picked up a win at Bronx Ballpark, knocking off the Antioch Coal Miners, 2-1. On the mound for Bronx was right-hander Fidel Betancourt, who played a pivotal role in the win. Betancourt got the win, improving to 4-2. He allowed 2 hits and walked 2 over 6 innings. Betancourt allowed 1 earned run. The Bombers bumped their record to 35-20 with this latest triumph.

Bill Ottinger aided the Bronx cause with a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the first. For the game, the second baseman drove in one run.
