| Canadians Jolt Phantoms with Late Rally | The Canadians had to overcome a fine performance from Coronado pitcher David Araujo to grab a 5-3 win at Phantoms Field. Araujo allowed 2 earned runs over 8 innings. Steve Higgins converted his 4th save in 5 tries. Coronado has now lost 4 consecutive games.
The Canadians got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Cheol-chung Back. For the game, Back went 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the ninth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Vancouver a 5-2 lead.
