| Redbirds Bang Out 7-3 Win Versus Minneapolis | Candiac starter Juan Disla pitched effectively against the Minneapolis Freeze at Municipal Stadium. The left-hander led his team to a 7-3 win. Disla got the win, improving to 3-5. He allowed 7 hits and walked 4 over 7 innings. Disla allowed 3 earned runs. Candiac goes to 20-32, Minneapolis to 21-30.
The Redbirds got a big at-bat from left fielder Hiromi Nagao. For the game, Nagao went 1 for 4 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 10th double of the season gave Candiac a 5-3 lead.
