| Cats Edge Past Phantoms, 4-3 | Fort Worth starter Richard Sinclair pitched effectively against the Coronado Phantoms at LaGrave Field. The right-hander led his team to a 4-3 win. Fort Worth reliever Cyprien Bataille picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Joe Starring shouldered the loss. Fort Worth leads the Nick Adenhart League Bobby Cox Division by 3½ games.
Jeremy Bassett was the walk-off hero for Fort Worth. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Cats pinch hitter hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Sinclair told the Fort Worth Herald.
